Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Training and Onboarding Coordinator to support the Battery Energy Storage group. The role focuses on onboarding, training administration, and LMS management, ensuring timely and high-quality support.

Location: MN Headquarters, Golden Valley, MN; full-time on-site. Responsibilities include coordinating ILT classes, reporting training progress, and partnering with managers to optimize onboarding for new hires.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of office experience.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience analyzing and troubleshooting data.
• Experience coordinating meetings or training events.
• Familiarity with database software (i.e. Access), graphics software, and/or e-learning authoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as a contact for the Battery Energy Storage Group, including responding to learning questions or requests and escalating questions you cannot address to Learning & Development.
• Run and review reports to communicate learning completion status within your group; identify overdue assignments and classes needing scheduling.
• Manage instructor-led classes: schedule in LMS, invite/register participants, ensure prerequisites, reserve room, catering, and materials.
• Act as on-site coordinator for ILT classes: set up technology, record attendance, distribute materials, handle catering, and enter completions in LMS.
• Assist with additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.
• Assist with Mortenson's Battery Energy Storage onboarding program, partnering with managers to guide new hires through onboarding.
• Support managers to ensure a seamless onboarding experience, including workspace, technology, mentor assignment, and a 90-day calendar.
• Integrate group-specific onboarding experiences to address challenges or engagement opportunities.
• Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
