Job summary

Redwood Materials is seeking a Solutions Engineer for energy storage who will bridge commercial and engineering with customers, translating requirements into technical specifications and actionable concepts. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
  • Willing to travel to customer sites.
  • Ability to operate with autonomy and make technical decisions.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of time.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical resource in customer conversations including on-site visits and technical feasibility discussions.
  • Work with customers on initial system design concepts, site integration requirements, and project scoping, translating needs into actionable technical specifications.
  • Support commercial proposal development including SLDs, system layout concepts, technical specifications, and inputs to pricing and capacity models.
  • Build and maintain deep expertise in Redwood’s energy storage products and serve as the go-to technical resource for the commercial team.
  • Partner with engineering teams to surface customer feedback and inform development roadmap.
  • Enable the commercial team to operate independently on technical matters as Redwood scales.
