Job summary

IHI Terrasun Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of energy storage projects in the Chicago area.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and ensure client satisfaction across multiple vendors and sites. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in energy project management, strong communication skills, and experience with batteries, inverters, HVAC, and control systems.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of energy related project experience that includes knowledge of Batteries, Inverters, HVAC and control systems, energy efficiency and renewable energy.
• Experience in energy engineering and project management.
• Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of energy storage installation projects.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Ensure resource availability and allocation.
• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Report and escalate to management as needed.
• Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Work with the commissioning manager for commissioning tasks like network verification, point-to-point testing, cold commissioning, hot commissioning, block level testing, and PPC commissioning followed by performance/utility testing; report on results.
• Collaboratively work with multi-disciplinary engineering team to ensure reviews and recommendations are completed to professional standards
• Act as a team-lead and mentor junior staff
• Keep abreast of technology trends and changes in this rapidly evolving market
• Interact with senior-level personnel as required
• Directs procurement to ensure delivery dates are met
