Job summary
A leading utility-scale energy storage company in New York is seeking a Development Associate to help with the development of multiple utility scale energy storage projects throughout the Eastern US. Responsibilities include project cycle assistance, engagement with landowners, and conducting due diligence. The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS in a relevant field and a proven record of achieving site control for infrastructure projects. Qualifications
Proven track record of obtaining site control for 5+ infrastructure projects.
Comfort contacting various landowners including individuals and corporations.
No renewable energy industry experience necessary.
Responsibilities
Assist regional developers throughout the project development cycle.
Prepare purchase-option and lease documents using company templates.
Engage in cold-calling landowners and negotiate purchase options.
Conduct due diligence tasks including site visits and desktop research.
Manage project budgets and financial forecasts.
Maintain project timelines and records.
Skills
Analytical problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail
Familiarity with GIS tools / Google Earth
Education
BA/BS Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
