Job summary

Invenergy, headquartered in Chicago, IL, seeks an Associate, Renewable Procurement (Energy Storage) to lead RFPs and negotiate supply agreements for BESS equipment. Hybrid work in downtown Chicago with in-office Mon–Thu and remote Fridays.

You will support vendor evaluations, stay current on industry trends, and coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Operations and Origination teams to align specifications and performance guarantees with project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, chemistry or a related technical field.
• 3+ years experience in project construction, engineering, procurement or sourcing.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, specifications and drawings.
• Strong organizational, time-management and communication skills.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorhip now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation of exhibits in supply agreements with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare RFP packages and evaluate vendor bid responses.
• Coordinate with Origination and Pre-Construction on project timelines and equipment needs.
• Lead technical due diligence of energy storage products and coordinate with suppliers.
• Manage supplier relationships and resolve complex technical problems.
• Contribute to development of technical specifications with Engineering.
• Drive process improvements and future sourcing strategy.
