Job summary

Torus is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for our Salt Lake City facility to perform hands-on mechanical and electrical assembly for energy storage systems, with emphasis on Electrical Sub-Assembly and other production areas as needed.

Starting pay ranges from $20 to $25 per hour DOE, with full-time schedule 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday. Candidates must pass background checks and be eligible to work in the US.

Qualifications

• 0–5+ years of manufacturing, mechanical, or electrical assembly experience.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, schematics and color-coded wiring diagrams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate overhead cranes or hoists.
• Demonstrates safety-consciousness, attention to detail, and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical & frame assembly: build outer frames and enclosures from sheet metal and tubing.
• Tool & Equipment Operation: proficient use of hand and power tools; inspection of tools.
• Heavy Lifting & Crane Operations: operate overhead cranes and rigging to position components.
• Electrical Wiring & Integration: route and terminate HV/LV wiring and sub-assemblies.
• Quality Control & Testing: conduct inspections and testing of sub-assemblies and builds.
• Safety & Compliance: follow OSHA rules and maintain organized, hazard-free work area.
