Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Estimator I & II to join our Energy Storage group, responsible for gathering, calculating, and compiling data to produce project estimates. For smaller projects, this role will also prepare the full estimate. Compensation varies by experience and location.

The position offers two levels, allowing candidates to apply based on qualifications, with base pay ranges defined for each level and the potential for incentive plans.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or similar; or equivalent experience.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple project tasks.
• Proficient in estimating software ISqFt, ICE/Bid2Win, OST, Bluebeam, Google Earth.
• Strong customer service and professional attitude.
• Ability to interpret Mortenson policies.

Responsibilities

• Create Project Estimates and complete quantity takeoffs.
• Solicit bid estimates from trade partners and prepare vendor comparisons.
• Prepare and coordinate RFP documents and schedules for estimating.
• Determine pricing options and assist in data input into estimating software.
• Assist in site investigations and plan/estimate reviews.
• Support lead estimator in gathering information from government and private entities.
• Provide training to new estimators and interns.
