Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Commissioning Manager I within the Energy Storage group to drive project construction and contract administration, focusing on commissioning success. The role requires independent judgment in selecting commissioning techniques and criteria.

Location is across the US with a 50% remote and 50% travel arrangement to project sites. The base pay range and incentive eligibility reflect the seniority and scope of this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or 10 years of equivalent field experience.
• Minimum six years of construction management or commissioning experience.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead project commissioning activities and coordinate with project team.
• Develop commissioning plans, checklists, and test procedures for systems.
• Conduct field tests and observe inspections; draft reports and lessons learned.
• Provide technical guidance during field visits and coordinate with contractors.
