Job summary

SOLV Energy is looking for a Director of Engineering to lead the Energy Storage Engineering team. This role involves overseeing the design of energy storage systems, ensuring compliance with technical standards, and driving innovation.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of engineering experience focused on Energy Storage and must possess strong leadership and communication skills. The position allows for a remote or hybrid work model with required travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in engineering with a focus on Energy Storage, renewables, or power systems.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Energy Storage Engineering team.
• Oversee development of Energy Storage engineering standards.
• Identify training and development needs for the team.

Skills

10+ years in engineering focused on Energy Storage

5+ years of management experience

Strong technical background in protection and control systems

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proven track record of utility-scale Energy Storage projects

Knowledge of EPC engineering workflows

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
