Job summary

Eos Energy Enterprises is seeking an Applications Engineer to translate customer requirements into tailored energy storage solutions. You will align technical capabilities of batteries, BMS, inverters, EMS/SCADA with customer needs, supporting RFQ/RFP responses and handover to project teams.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in EE and 5 years in energy storage or related electrical infrastructure, with strong communication and market knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required.
• 5 years of experience in energy storage or related electrical infrastructure is required.
• Full storage system design, implementation, construction and commissioning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and develop tailored energy infrastructure solutions encompassing all key system components (batteries, BMS, inverters, transformers, protection systems, EMS and SCADA).
• Provide technical solutions and market knowledge across utility-scale, commercial & industrial, telecommunications, and utility markets.
• Articulate benefits of a safe, low-cost, long-lasting energy storage solution for customer requirements (peak shifting/shaving, long duration dispatch, ancillary services, micro-grids, renewables firming).
• Partner with Sales and internal technical teams to prepare technical responses to RFQ/RFPs.
• Ensure a successful handover of customer orders to project management.
• Obtain feedback on product performance, quality, documentation, and relay findings to internal teams.
• Support conversion of pipeline into revenue by fostering technical champions at key accounts.
• Utilize procedures, tools, and best practices to scale the technical pre-sales organization.
• Monitor industry trends and competitive developments in energy storage; provide regional/global insights.
• Assist with product manuals and data sheets as needed.
• Develop layouts, orchestrate third party vendor quotes and technical supplements.
• Deliver strategic thought to position Eos product and system design competitively.
