Job summary

CMTA Energy Solutions in Media, PA invites Mechanical Engineering students to join its robust co-op program. You will gain hands-on experience in ESPCs, energy modeling, and project development alongside full-time engineers under supervision of Professional Engineers.

Ideal candidates are undergrad engineers from ABET-accredited programs, with strong communication; CAD experience is helpful. Travel to local sites may be required; GPA 3.39+ is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have an undergrad engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university.
• CAD experience is helpful but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to travel locally for field work.
• Minimum GPA 3.39.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of the project development phase – including site visits, building audits, energy calculations.
• Generate energy models and perform calculations to evaluate feasibility of energy savings measures identified.
• Produce detailed construction documents using CAD.
• Assemble organized sets of project drawings and documents.
• Collect and analyze energy data, often involving field verification.
• Work collaboratively with designers and professional engineers to develop all aspects of a project.
