Job summary

Fervo Energy, a leader in geothermal development, seeks a Development Manager, Energy Solutions, to own the commercial and technical integration of flexible power delivery from concept to financeable agreements.

You will collaborate with Transmission, Commercial, Finance, and Legal teams to structure deals, assess feasibility, and drive financeability across multi-disciplinary workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, business, or related field.
• 7+ years in power project development, structured/project finance, or commercial roles within power generation or energy infrastructure.
• Experience structuring or negotiating commercial agreements for power delivery (e.g., PPAs, interconnection agreements, EPC/O&M).
• Working knowledge of behind-the-meter and on-site generation, interconnection processes, and flexible generation economics.
• Comfortable reading and pressure-testing financial models and translating complexity into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
• Highly organized self-starter, comfortable managing multiple workstreams and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the path from concept to a financeable, executable agreement for Fervo’s energy delivery arrangements, including logs, risk registers, and critical-path tracking.
• Structure and negotiate commercial terms for flexible and on-site power arrangements with Legal and Origination on contract frameworks.
• Coordinate with Transmission & Interconnection on technical feasibility, interconnection pathways, and utility requirements.
• Partner with subsurface, drilling and completions, and engineering teams to align resource plans with microgrid design and on-site load requirements.
• Translate resource characteristics, generation profiles, and technical constraints into commercial and financing assumptions.
• Serve as the connective link between geothermal resource, microgrid, and on-site power needs as one coherent system.
• Translate technical and commercial inputs into a lender-ready narrative with Finance and Capital Markets.
• Identify risks and issues affecting financeability and drive resolution with stakeholders.
• Prepare materials that clearly communicate deal status, tradeoffs, and recommendations for senior leadership.
