Job summary

W. G. Yates & Sons Construction Company is seeking an Energy Marshal for a hyperscale data center construction site.

You will ensure safe execution of energy-related activities, oversee LOTO, electrical isolation, and reenergization, and collaborate with electrical contractors and commissioning teams to maintain safety, compliance, and efficiency. The role requires a strong background in high-voltage systems, safety leadership, and regulatory compliance, with responsibilities spanning energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Energy Management, Construction Management, or related field.
• 4–6 years of direct energy safety management experience on large-scale construction projects.
• Experience with hyperscale data center construction and energy isolation standards (OSHA, NFPA 70E).

Responsibilities

• Oversee Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs and energy isolation procedures.
• Coordinate energization and de-energization of electrical systems.
• Lead on-site safety leadership for energy practices and regulatory compliance.
• Report energy management activities to GC and client with clear documentation.
• Conduct risk assessments and lead incident investigations as needed.
• Collaborate with project management, commissioning teams, and subcontractors.
