Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking an Energy Research and Development Program Manager to lead the EEST team in Idaho Falls. The role operates on a 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off, overseeing multiple projects and coordinating with DOE, DOD, and partners to deliver advanced energy initiatives.

The position requires a Bachelor's (5+ years) or Master's (2+ years) for Level 3, or a Bachelor's (9 years) or Master's (6 years) for Level 4, plus exceptional communication skills and the

Qualifications

• Level 3 requires a Bachelor's with 5 years of relevant professional experience or a Master's with 2 years of experience.
• Level 4 requires a Bachelor's with 9 years of relevant professional experience or a Master's with 6 years of experience.
• Experience leading as a project lead, project manager, or lead role in technical/R&D projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple ongoing, rapidly expanding projects, some managed by subordinate Project Managers.
• Track deliverables and ensure planning/scheduling to support timely completion; manage changes to achieve outputs.
• Direct or support engineering projects related to upgrading or building facilities; manage budgets.
• Develop teams to help partners meet goals and liaise with DOE, DOD, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare progress and final reports; ensure project requirements and standards are met and integrated.
