Job summary

The role requires a JD, bar license, and at least 3 years of experience in complex commercial or project finance matters, with emphasis on renewable energy projects. The position reports to the Assistant General Counsel and involves cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• JD and a license to practice law are required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as an attorney, ideally with complex commercial or project finance matters.
• Experience advising on project finance and development for wind, solar, energy storage, and gas projects.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, set priorities and adapt to changing demands.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, draft, and negotiate project documents such as power purchase agreements.
• Review, interpret, draft, and negotiate financing documents, including tax equity structures, debt financing, and cash equity financing.
• Represent the company in acquisitions and dispositions.
• Supervise outside counsel, as necessary.
• Provide counsel on regulatory issues identified by asset management.
• Support management of litigation and dispute resolution processes.
• Advise management on regulatory issues.
• Assist other attorneys on additional projects as necessary.
• Work cross-functionally with different practice groups to guide a project through its lifecycle.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve contracting processes and tools.
