Job summary

Otter Tail Power Company in Fergus Falls, MN is seeking a Project Manager I or II to lead the development and execution of generation-related projects. You will manage scope, schedule, cost, and risk across the full lifecycle—from development through construction and closeout—while ensuring safety, compliance, and stakeholder alignment.

This role reports to Manager Project Management I, Development Engineering Construction and requires leadership, strong communication, and ability to coordinate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, project management, or related field.
• PM I: 2+ years of project management or related experience.
• PM II: 5+ years of project management experience, including multiple or complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of the project lifecycle from development through turnover to operations.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture with safety plans and practices.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and coordinate workforce requirements.
• Prepare and manage project budgets and forecasts with cost control.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks with a risk register.
• Oversee procurement, contracts, and vendor coordination.
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders for permitting and engagement.
• Provide timely project updates and facilitate stakeholder meetings.
