Job summary

Woolpert is seeking a Project Manager II to lead energy-related projects within the Energy Group. You will oversee planning, execution, budgets, risk management, and client satisfaction from start to finish.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership and communication skills, plus 5+ years in PM for energy or infrastructure projects. Collaboration with engineering, GIS, and environmental teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of project management experience supporting energy, utility, civil infrastructure, engineering, or related projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing project schedules, budgets, client communications, and deliverables.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, risk management, budgeting, forecasting, and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead energy-related projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring delivery of scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Develop and manage project work plans, schedules, budgets, and documentation.
• Monitor performance and proactively identify risks, issues, and schedule impacts.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, GIS, environmental, and construction staff.
• Ensure deliverables meet Woolpert quality standards and client expectations.
• Build and maintain relationships with utility and energy clients.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned projects and lead status meetings.
• Identify opportunities to expand services and client growth initiatives.
• Manage budgets, profitability, invoicing, forecasts, and overall financials.
• Monitor labor and subcontractor costs; control expenditures.
