Job summary

Performance Services seeks a Project Development Engineer to collaborate with Business Development Managers, identifying potential energy projects and qualifying savings opportunities. You will analyze energy use, develop cost estimates, and prepare bid-ready proposals for client consideration.

You will review utility rates, support contract pricing, and ensure accurate energy-saving calculations while coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years designing HVAC projects in traditional plan/spec format.
• Energy engineering support for performance contracting preferred.
• Professional Engineer registration in applicable states preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform energy audits; analyze findings and propose solutions.
• Develop project cost estimates and obtain vendor pricing.
• Identify energy conservation opportunities and facility needs.
• Analyze utility rate structures and consumption history.
• Prepare bid documents and assist pricing.
• Provide technical guidance during project implementation.
• Collaborate with Business Development Manager to qualify projects.
• Develop preliminary and final project cost estimates.
