Job summary

ICF's Energy Efficiency Division seeks interns to support program work across operations and delivery, contributing to data collection, reporting, and client deliverables while gaining exposure to major projects. This entry-level, 10-week, full-time internship begins in early June 2027.

Positions are remote from MA, NY, or NJ with occasional in-office meetings; pay is $23 per hour and relocation/housing assistance is not available at this time.

Qualifications

• Excellent quantitative/analytical skills with ability to analyze situations and identify problems and solutions.
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of project management principles.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work under deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with data collection and data analysis.
• Creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets and databases for internal tracking and project management.
• Supporting client-facing semi-annual reporting efforts.
• Assisting in preparation of internal and client deliverables.
• Helping to document processes and develop process improvements and/or automation.
• Contributing to energy analysis and measure development (skillset dependent).
• Supporting Program Delivery teams with client presentations and relaying key program results.
• Developing program opportunities to support client clean energy goals.
• Reviewing existing program processes to identify efficiency opportunities.
• Coordinating with program implementation team members and other departments.
• Communicating with participating service providers to collect information and assess opportunities.
• Preparing and reviewing technical specifications and calculations for energy efficiency measures (skillset dependent).
