Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Corporate Program Manager of Energy to oversee a portfolio of energy initiatives across 400+ Texas locations. You will engage utilities, regulators, and REPs, shaping resilience and grid strategy, and translate meetings into actionable guidance for the energy team.

The role covers behind-the-meter generation, solar, storage, and natural gas; you will manage relationships, develop metrics, and lead cross-functional projects while traveling statewide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience in energy, utilities, facilities, or industrial operations with ERCOT or energy markets.
• Experience coordinating with regulators, utilities, and legislative bodies.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain program processes, standards, schedules, and success metrics for energy initiatives.
• Represent H-E-B in ERCOT, PUCT, utility, and legislative meetings; track proposed rules and market changes.
• Prepare materials, talking points, and data summaries for regulatory meetings and report key takeaways to leadership.
• Build and maintain relationships with electric and gas utility and regulatory contacts.
• Co-own REP relationships and contract strategy for ERCOT territory; resolve service and billing issues.
• Oversee interconnection agreements, installation, operations, maintenance, and effectiveness of resiliency systems.
• Lead design and rollout decisions for behind-the-meter generation, storage, and microgrid projects.
• Deliver regular summaries, briefings, and training to keep the team current on status and market developments.
• Quantify financial impact of energy opportunities, regulatory changes; track program metrics.
• Identify and execute opportunities to reduce cost and risk while advancing corporate goals.
