Job summary

Dewberry is seeking an Energy Discipline Lead to grow our Energy practice across the Northeast, including New Jersey, while mentoring teams and delivering impactful infrastructure solutions.

This role blends strategic leadership, client partnership, and technical excellence as you expand relationships with energy utilities, lead transmission, distribution and substation projects, and help win work across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; 10+ years in site/civil design and PM.
• Strong understanding of the energy utility market (transmission, distribution, substations).
• Proven success in business development and long-term client relationships.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate high-performing teams.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
• PE license in MA, NY or NJ preferred, or ability to obtain licensure within six months.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue and profit growth.
• Expand Dewberry’s brand in northeast energy accounts.
• Meet with clients to develop and capture new business.
• Serve as client manager for Energy accounts.
• Coordinate NE energy account sales pipeline and report to management.
• Develop responses to RFPs and qualifications including cost proposals.
• Serve as Project Manager for complex and high-volume projects.
• Collaborate with other groups and offices.
• Manage project financials and cash flow.
• Recruit, develop, and retain top energy talent with HR.
• Promote Dewberry culture and client/employee success.
• Monitor staffing and advise on needs.
