Job summary

Dewberry seeks an Energy Discipline Lead to grow the Energy practice across the Northeast while mentoring teams and delivering infrastructure solutions. The role blends strategic leadership, client partnership, and technical excellence as you expand relationships with public/private energy utilities and guide multidisciplinary teams delivering transmission, distribution, and substation projects.

You'll help win work and ensure high-quality delivery in a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 10+ years of site/civil design and PM experience.
• Strong understanding of the energy utility market (transmission, distribution, substation).
• Proven success in business development and long-term client relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and motivate high-performing teams.
• Track record managing complex projects for public/private utility clients.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
• PA/NY/NJ PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business strategies to drive revenue and margin growth.
• Increase Dewberry's brand recognition with northeast energy accounts.
• Meet with clients to develop and capture new business opportunities.
• Serve as client manager for select energy accounts.
• Coordinate energy sales pipeline and report to leadership.
• Develop responses to RFPs and cost proposals.
• Lead as Project Manager on complex, volume-based projects.
• Collaborate with other groups and offices.
• Manage project financials and cash flow.
• Lead multi-discipline teams and mentor staff.
• Engage in quality control and quality management adherence.
• Monitor staffing and advise on current/future needs.
• Collaborate with HR to recruit and retain top energy talent.
• Promote Dewberry's culture, values, and long-term success.
