Job summary

Meta is seeking an Energy Portfolio Manager to oversee a portfolio of clean energy contracts and related carbon agreements. You will lead negotiations, ensure contract compliance, monitor project development, and report on financial and operational performance for operating assets.

You will collaborate with legal, finance, purchasing, and other stakeholders, analyze energy data, and help manage risk across wind, solar, and PPAs. This role resides in Meta's Global Energy Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, energy, or environmental science or similar field.
• 5+ years in clean energy contract management, procurement, or energy project operations at corporations or utilities.
• Experience managing renewable energy contracts, especially wind and solar.
• Experience drafting official correspondence and building supplier/internal partnerships.
• Experience with G Suite, Excel, Word, and Tableau.
• Experience building cross-functional relationships.
• Experience analyzing energy generation data, virtual PPAs, green tariffs, and wholesale energy market data.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the ongoing owner for all of Meta's executed clean energy and carbon credit requirements.
• Create, maintain, update documents and data related to clean and renewable energy contracts.
• Track counterparty compliance with contract milestones and other deliverables.
• Respond to counterparty inquiries and manage contract amendments, collateral, force majeure claims, and other issues as needed.
• Surface and resolve issues in ongoing contracts and project operations.
• Track and analyze clean energy operational project performance.
• Track and analyze renewable energy financial project performance.
• Track project progress through development and construction milestones, and lead risk reporting against schedule and forecast.
• Manage the approval and signature process for contract documents after execution.
• Support invoicing and reporting on clean energy contracts, and ensure RECs, costs, and project performance align with contract terms.
• Coordinate with legal counsel, finance, accounting, purchasing, accounts payable/receivable, and other stakeholders.
