Job summary

CPL seeks an experienced energy engineer to lead energy audits, assessments, and EPC development for diverse building projects in New York. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify high-impact conservation opportunities and craft practical energy-saving solutions.

Ideal candidates have a 5+ year track record in energy engineering, CEM/CEA credentials, and deep knowledge of HVAC systems, codes, ASHRAE standards, and incentive programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Energy Engineering with 5+ years of experience in energy engineering, energy audits, and building performance analysis.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) credential.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, energy codes, ASHRAE standards, and utility/incentive programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead energy audits, benchmarking studies, and feasibility assessments to identify energy-saving opportunities and support EPC development.
  • Partner with clients and internal engineering teams to develop, evaluate, and implement energy conservation measures for K-12 and commercial building projects.
  • Navigate incentive programs, regulatory requirements, and technical reviews to maximize project value and successful outcomes.
