Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED plus three years of energy facility or utility plant ops experience.
• Must possess a valid California non-commercial Class C driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of a distributed control system.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair and maintenance.
• Ability to use logic to evaluate solutions and make improvements.
• Familiarity with safety rules, environmental regulations and plant operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely maintain operational and environmental parameters across the facility.
• Monitor plant equipment and indicators; report abnormalities to the Shift Supervisor.
• Perform routine maintenance and operate within the CMMS.
• Observe gauges and indicators to ensure proper machine operation.
• Control plant equipment via control systems or semi-automatic equipment.
• Regulate equipment operations based on data to optimize the energy system.
