Position Overview

As an Energy Modeler II, you will contribute your expertise in energy analysis across our market sectors, focusing on LEED certification, code compliance, utility rebates, and energy efficiency goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed energy analyses for certification, compliance, rebates, and efficiency goals.
• Identify energy savings opportunities and design alternatives.
• Collaborate on sustainable, high-performance design implementations.
• Coordinate project designs with multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain positive client relationships.

Required Qualifications

• 3 years relevant energy modeling experience with a degree, or 5 years without a degree.
• Bachelor’s in Architectural, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, Energy, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Proficiency with IES energy simulation software.
• Strong fundamentals in building physics and heat transfer.
• Understanding of HVAC and mechanical systems (preferred).
• Knowledge of building energy performance and simulation methods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with eQuest, EnergyPlus, Rhino, Grasshopper, scripting languages (Python, VBA, R).
• Interest in daylighting, CFD, passive design, renewable energy, HVAC comparison.
• Certifications like C.E.M., BEMP, HBDP, or sustainability credentials (LEED GA/AP, WELL AP).
