Job description

Clinisys is building a world-class Sales organization, and we need to build the supporting cast to drive a seamless expansion into new markets. The Strategic Sales Consultant is responsible for delivering detailed product value and expertise to the Sales team and to prospective/existing clients through consultative engagements both pre-sales and throughout the sales process. The Strategic Sales Consultant is a supporting role to the Sales team leading client meetings, workflow assessments, demonstrations, and consultations, both virtual and on-site. As a member of a cross-functional team of subject matter experts, responsibilities include assembling strategies, product knowledge, proof points and market differentiators created by Product Management and Marketing into customized client facing engagements as well as preparation and dissemination of sales training materials.

Essential Functions

  • Developing and executing strategic go forward plan with Leadership and Sales team.
  • Provide strategic advice and thought leadership to healthcare clients, addressing key business challenges such as regulatory compliance, change management, and healthcare technology integration.
  • Analyze client needs and design customized solutions that deliver measurable value focusing on improving operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product and Marketing, to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
  • Lead and manage complex prospect/client engagements from planning through execution. Conducts software demonstrations by preparing and tailoring value/benefit statements highlighting why Clinisys is the best choice
  • Contributes to the design, development, and continuous improvement of deal-specific sales strategies, positioning, content, and presentations for sales
  • Mentor and develop junior consultants by sharing expertise and best practices specific to healthcare industry. Train and guide other Consultants on Clinisys solutions, workflows and new offerings for client/prospect software demonstrations and presentations. Serve as internal subject matter expert in the Sales Department
  • Stay current on industry trends, tools, and methodologies to provide innovative solutions, while keeping up with on-going changes and trends in the healthcare industry that may affect the positioning of Clinisys solutions
  • Assists in the completion of Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) by providing subject matter expertise and detailed product feature/function and value/benefit
  • Represents company at trade association meetings and contributed to company hosted focus group discussions/presentations to demo and promote products.
  • Represents the Clinisys Sales team in providing subject matter expertise to Product Management and Product Development departments to influence product lifecycle
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills needed to be successful

  • Expertise in LIS/LIMS domains such as scientific/healthcare IT, laboratory workflows, or laboratory policies.
  • Experience with scientific/healthcare integrations, analytic platforms, and CRMs.
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging trends in the LIS/LIMS market.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Delivers polished communications and consulting skills in a high-pressure sales environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders in healthcare organizations.

Required Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 7+ years’ experience partnering with sales team as a technical SME
  • 7+ years’ experience in scientific/healthcare entities and certifications relevant to technical consulting (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, Lean Healthcare, etc.).
  • 7+ years’ experience in LIS/LIMS product solution and/or management role.
  • 7+ years’ technical experience in software technologies.

Travel

  • 50% Travel may be required

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Zero direct reports (may be subject to change)
  • Experience in leading teams or individuals

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is generally within the range of $100,000 to $150,000 for annual base salary. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • 50% Travel may be required
  • Moderate lifting/carrying 15-44 lbs.; use of fingers; walking/standing 2-6 hours
  • Exposure to hazardous materials or various weather conditions
  • Travel to client sites that can pose risk associated with healthcare organization.
  • May be required to follow customer location health and safety requirements
