Job summary

EarthStream Global is seeking a proactive Energy Marshal to lead energy management and workplace safety across construction sites in Ashburn, VA. The role focuses on enforcing OSHA, NEC, NFPA, and ANSI standards while promoting energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.

You will coordinate safety initiatives, conduct inspections, and deliver training to ensure best practices in risk management and occupational health across projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction site safety management with a strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and ANSI standards.
• Demonstrated expertise in risk management, occupational health principles, OSHA compliance, NEC codes related to electrical systems, NFPA standards for fire safety.
• Ability to lead team-based safety training initiatives and communicate effectively with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with compliance tracking and reporting using construction management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and execution of energy management plans aligned with OSHA, NEC, NFPA, ANSI and other regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify hazards related to electrical systems and construction activities; implement mitigations.
• Lead safety inspections across construction sites focusing on electrical safety, health protocols, and site safety regulations.
• Coordinate and deliver safety training sessions on OSHA compliance, NFPA/ANSI standards, health best practices, and emergency response.
• Monitor ongoing construction activities to ensure adherence to standards; document findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage compliance documentation related to workers' comp, OSHA reports, risk management records, and safety audits using CM software.
• Collaborate with project managers to promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.

EarthStream are seeking a proactive and safety-focused Energy Marshal to lead the implementation and enforcement of energy management and workplace safety protocols across construction sites. In this vital role, you will serve as a key safety ambassador, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Your expertise will help foster a secure, efficient, and environmentally responsible work environment, promoting best practices in risk management and occupational health. As an Energy Marshal, you will coordinate safety initiatives, conduct inspections, and lead safety training to uphold the highest standards of construction site safety and energy efficiency.

Duties:

• Oversee the development and execution of energy management plans aligned with OSHA, NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), ANSI standards, and other relevant regulations.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards related to electrical systems, energy use, and construction activities; implement mitigation strategies accordingly.
• Lead safety inspections across construction sites focusing on electrical safety procedures, occupational health protocols, and construction workplace safety regulations.
• Coordinate and deliver safety training sessions for team members on topics such as OSHA compliance, NFPA standards, ANSI standards, occupational health best practices, and emergency response procedures including first aid and CPR.
• Monitor ongoing construction activities to ensure adherence to OSHA standards, NEC requirements, ANSI guidelines, and other regulatory frameworks; document findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage compliance documentation related to workers' compensation claims, OSHA reports, risk management records, and safety audits using construction management software.
• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement in construction safety management practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in construction site safety management with a strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and ANSI standards.
• Demonstrated expertise in risk management, occupational health principles, OSHA compliance, NEC codes related to electrical systems, NFPA standards for fire safety, and workers' compensation procedures.
• Ability to lead team-based safety training initiatives effectively; excellent communication skills are essential.
• Familiarity with construction management software for compliance tracking and reporting purposes.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety procedures and construction regulatory compliance requirements.
• Prior experience working on construction sites with a focus on health & safety protocols; certification in OSHA 30-hour or higher preferred.
• Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; additional credentials in occupational health or EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) are advantageous.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence teams positively while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards.
