Job summary

The trader will interface with ACES systems, coordinate Demand Side Management, and optimize client portfolios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a related field; 5+ years of professional work experience may substitute.
• Experience negotiating prices, performing data analysis, and delivering customer service.
• Proficiency with computers, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Strong mathematical and technical aptitude.
• High analytical ability, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint; familiarity with ACES systems.
• Application of critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage generation and native load scheduling for participating Members and Clients.
• Monitor market conditions and analyze transactions to identify energy trades.
• Coordinate Demand Side Management activities and optimize portfolios.
• Input data into ACES software accurately.
• Interface with ACES Members, Clients, and internal departments.
• Travel as required and comply with NERC, FERC and state regulations.
• Adhere to corporate policies and participate in 24-hour trading floor operations.
