Job summary

Plains Marketing in Houston, TX is seeking an Energy Management Engineer to monitor pipeline and processing facilities, optimize energy usage, and maximize revenue while reducing OPEX. You will develop energy projects and act as an energy management SME across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical preferred).
• 3+ years in pipeline and/or process facility operations.
• Experience with fluid hydraulics and hydraulic modeling.
• Proficient in hydraulic process modeling software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pipeline schedules, flow rates, and temperatures to guide operations.
• Prepare hydraulic models to optimize systems and rate structures.
• Review utility contracts and rate structures for efficiency.
• Develop cost curves for commercial evaluation.
• Manage DRA and demand response programs.
• Collaborate with Operations and Accounting on budgets.
• Coordinate with Control Center and Scheduling daily.
