Job summary

Oaklands Global, a well-established investment banking team, seeks an Associate to join its Energy coverage. You will work directly alongside senior bankers, contributing across live M&A and capital-raising transactions.

The role offers meaningful responsibility from early on and exposure to advisory and financing assignments. You will perform financial modeling, prepare client materials, and support due diligence while building client relationships.

Qualifications

• Two+ years investment banking experience with M&A exposure.
• Experience covering the Energy sector preferred.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Solid understanding of corporate finance principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Execute financial analysis, valuation work, and detailed financial models.
• Prepare client presentations, marketing materials, information memoranda, and transaction documentation.
• Support the execution of M&A transactions, capital raises, and strategic advisory engagements.
• Perform company, industry, and market research to support client mandates and business development efforts.
• Coordinate due diligence processes and manage transaction timelines alongside internal and external stakeholders.
• Work closely with senior bankers and clients throughout the execution of live deals.
• Review the work of junior team members and provide guidance and mentorship where appropriate.
• Assist with the preparation of pitch materials and contribute to new business opportunities.
