Job summary

Permanent Placements LLC is seeking an Associate Attorney with at least 1 year of M&A and joint venture experience, focused on energy and infrastructure work. The role involves advising on sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions across energy sectors for diverse clients, with training and growth opportunities in a leading Energy & Infrastructure practice.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of one year of experience handling M&A and joint venture matters, with interest in Energy & Infrastructure.
• Prior experience in Energy & Infrastructure preferred.
• Strong academic credentials and demonstrated legal writing abilities.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Active State Bar membership or eligibility to obtain admission.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on energy and infrastructure M&A transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, investments, and strategic partnerships.
• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, and related contracts.
• Conduct legal due diligence and support transaction execution from inception through closing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary legal teams on complex, high-value transactions.
• Counsel clients on legal, commercial, and regulatory issues affecting energy and infrastructure investments.
• Manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
