Job summary

BTIG seeks a highly motivated Investment Banking Analyst to join the Energy & Infrastructure team based in Texas (Dallas or Houston). The Analyst will support senior bankers across domestic and international transactions, including M&A, equity and debt raises, and strategic advisory.

Ideal candidates have a strong analytical background, 1–2 years in investment banking or related fields, and fluency with Excel, PowerPoint, and financial data platforms (Bloomberg, FactSet, CapIQ, Enverus).

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in Investment Banking, M&A, Corporate Development, Private Equity, or related field.
• Exposure to Energy, Infrastructure, or Oil & Gas sectors preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; Bloomberg/FactSet/CapIQ/Enverus advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and analyze financial models (DCF, NAV, LBO, accretion/dilution).
• Support day-to-day execution of M&A and capital markets transactions with internal teams and clients.
• Prepare marketing materials: CIMs, pitch books, management presentations, board materials.
• Research energy markets, monitor price trends, and analyze regulatory and macro drivers.
• Coordinate due diligence, manage data rooms, and review technical/financial documents.
• Issue clear notes and participate in client meetings, supporting senior bankers.
