Job summary

BTIG seeks a highly motivated Investment Banking Analyst to join the Energy & Infrastructure team in Texas (Dallas or Houston). The Analyst will support senior bankers on M&A, equity and debt raises, and strategic advisory assignments for domestic and international transactions.

The role involves building complex financial models (DCF, NAV, LBO), preparing CIMs and pitch books, and coordinating due diligence. 1–2 years of IB experience and licenses are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline with strong academic track record.
• 1–2 years of experience in Investment Banking, M&A, Corporate Development, Private Equity, or related field; Energy/Infrastructure exposure preferred.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and M&A processes; familiarity with oil & gas valuation metrics is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, CapIQ; Enverus is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and in lean deal teams; licenses (SIE, Series 79/63) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and analyze complex financial models (DCF, NAV, LBO, accretion/dilution, comps).
• Support day-to-day execution of M&A and capital markets transactions with internal teams and clients.
• Prepare marketing materials: CIMs, pitch books, management presentations, board materials.
• Conduct research on domestic and international energy markets and monitor market trends.
• Manage data rooms and coordinate due diligence for active transactions.
• Communicate with senior bankers, clients, and advisers and take notes for follow-up.
