Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking an Energy & Infrastructure Investment Banking Analyst in Texas (Houston or Dallas). The role supports M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements across the Energy & Infrastructure sector, collaborating closely with senior bankers in a lean team environment.

The Analyst will build and maintain financial models, perform valuations, and assist with pitch books, CIMs, and board materials.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Private Equity, or Transaction Advisory.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Prior exposure to Energy, Infrastructure, or Oil & Gas sectors preferred.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment with significant client exposure.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models, including DCF, LBO, comparable company, precedent transaction, and industry-specific valuation analyses.
• Support execution of M&A and capital markets transactions from marketing through closing.
• Prepare pitch books, CIMs, management presentations, and board materials.
• Conduct industry, market, and company research across the energy landscape.
• Manage due diligence processes, virtual data rooms, and transaction workflows.
