Job summary

ENFRA is seeking an IS Design Manager to oversee design production from development handoff to construction closeout. You will ensure on-time delivery, alignment with project goals, and proper staffing by design leads and junior staff.

The role requires 5+ years in design-related disciplines across mechanical, electrical, and building automation, with strong communication and leadership abilities. Travel about 25% is expected, with focus on safety and quality throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of design related experience with mechanical, electrical, building automation systems, programming, or building operation management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Safety-focused mindset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and AutoCad software packages.

Responsibilities

• Supports day-to-day management of design tasks with timely progress and accurate documentation.
• Guides and mentors junior staff to support team development and efficiency.
• Ensures adherence to design standards and safety protocols; assists in process updates and quality checks.
• Tracks labor hours and budgets; reviews time entries and supports resource planning.
• Facilitates communication between staff, project managers and leadership; supports client interactions under supervision.
• Participates in team activities and maintains a positive culture.
