The role demands 5+ years in mechanical design/construction or facilities management, strong leadership, and solid communication. Up to 80% travel to job sites is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design and/or project management, mechanical construction, or facilities management.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of construction technologies, scheduling, equipment, materials and methods, and financial management.
• Effective presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates leadership skills and ability to address challenges, resolve issues, and motivate others while focusing on safety, field and financial performance, and client expectations.
• Influences outcomes by being resourceful and maintaining focus on safety and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure work environment through site planning, hazard analyses, toolbox talks, and site walks.
• Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal requirements.
• Conduct and document operational project meetings with appropriate parties.
• Negotiate and prepare vendor and subcontractor agreements in line with estimates.
• Evaluate submittals to reflect contract drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate quality assurance and quality control with relevant personnel.
• Manage project scope coordination with BIM Department with QC assistance.
• Perform financial set up of the project including equipment, labor, materials, and subcontracts for leadership approval.
• Conduct monthly project cost reviews and communicate deviations to stay on schedule and budget.
• Manage Accounts Receivable by pay apps and value schedules; ensure timely collections.
• Manage Accounts Payables with Accounting and Legal to pay subcontractors/vendors timely and mitigate risks.
• Obtain and coordinate lien waivers, notices, tax docs, and permits.
• Ensure budget and scope alignment through change management.
• Attend jobsite meetings, schedule deliveries, document site activities, review labor reports, and coordinate requirements.
• Build and maintain relations with internal teams, customers, subs, and vendors.
• Monitor risk items, notices to proceed, contracts, insurance, and bonds.
• Close-out documents including manuals, start-up docs, as-builts, warranties, and owner training.
• Coordinate start-up and commissioning with all parties to ensure timely compliance.
