Job summary

PAREI is seeking a part-time field technician to support multiple energy programs in Plymouth, NH. The role involves extensive field work, such as solar site assessments and blower door tests, with opportunities to progress to full-time. You’ll respond to inquiries, conduct home energy consultations, and participate in workshops.

Occasional evenings/weekends may be required; typically 15–20 hours per week Monday through Friday. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Ability to learn energy programs and perform field assessments.

Responsibilities

• Field Work (approx. 75%): Conduct Solar Site Assessments to determine feasibility and interest.
• Conduct Solar Repair Assessments for solar water heating and minor repairs.
• Respond to customer inquiries about solar and energy efficiency.
• In-office energy consultations about home energy saving opportunities and incentives.
• Home energy walk-throughs to provide DIY tips or determine Home Energy Score.
• Blower Door Tests for Homes and Healthy Home Evaluations.
• Assist with construction for ground mounted solar PV projects.
• Speak at educational workshops and attend energy-related meetings.
• Host open houses to promote PAREI’s services.
