Job summary

Ferrovial Webber Energy in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to lead early project efforts for EPC renewable energy initiatives. You will review plans, develop budgets, and coordinate with design teams and subcontractors to shape robust preconstruction strategies.

The role requires 4+ years in cost estimating, scheduling, risk management, and contract negotiations within EPC delivery. Travel about 15% is expected; a Bachelor's in CM/Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• 4 years’ experience in cost estimating, scheduling, and risk management for large EPC projects.
• Experience with EPC delivery models, procurement strategies, and contract negotiations.
• Experience with estimating software and scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Review project plans and specifications to determine project feasibility, constraints, and value.
• Compile conceptual estimates and project benchmarks.
• Coordinate with estimating team to develop cost estimates and budgets.
• Develop and evaluate submissions for RFPs to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop procurement, risk and project management plans.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to refine plans.
• Identify and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop schedules and timelines for project completion.
• Review and negotiate contracts with clients.
• Manage the bidding process for subcontractors.
• Provide regular updates to clients and team members on progress.
• Identify and address potential problems during the preconstruction phase.
• Lead the preconstruction strategy meeting for the project or estimate.
• Ensure risk factors are evaluated with senior management.
• Develop and negotiate GMP proposals with clients and Advisors.
• Supervise supporting staff during preconstruction.
