Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in environmental resources, environmental planning, natural resources, environmental engineering, or related field.
• 0–3 years of energy sector experience.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams; flexible and able to work in a project team.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Familiarity with CAD and GIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare scientific reports, permit applications, environmental impact assessments, and compliance evaluations.
• Review and interpret land development and environmental regulations (local zoning, NJDEP/NYSDEC).
• Assist in field surveys and data collection (land use inventories, wetlands, rare species).
• Prepare visuals (tables, charts, infographics) for data interpretation and presentation.
• Assist with land use applications and zoning entitlement representations.
• Participate in public involvement and stakeholder meetings.
• Draft technical memos, meeting minutes, and transmittals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project work.
