Amentum’s Energy & Environment Business Group seeks a Senior Counsel & Contracts Manager to lead legal and contract activities for a growing portfolio, including nuclear and non-nuclear projects. This hybrid role is based locally to Reston, VA, or Oak Ridge, TN, with in-office presence three days a week and US citizenship required.

The role demands 10+ years of combined legal and contracts experience, a JD, active bar admission, and strong expertise in EPC contracts, government regulations

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school and active U.S. state bar.
• 10+ years legal/contract management experience; government contracting or energy sector preferred.
• Experience drafting and negotiating EPCs, govt contracts (FAR/DFARS, NRC/DOE), and JV agreements.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice to senior leaders for federal and commercial energy projects.
• Draft, negotiate, and review EPC contracts, services agreements, NDAs, MOUs, IP licenses, and subcontracts.
• Lead contract lifecycle management from pre-award to closeout; ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
