Job summary

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) seeks an experienced Operations Manager within the Energy & Environment Directorate to enable safe, efficient research. The role partners with ES&H, Facilities & Operations and Security to integrate operational capabilities with research activities, guiding a team across the lab to deliver on strategic priorities.

You will think strategically, anticipate risks, lead by influence at all levels, manage the Operations budget, and foster a strong safety

Qualifications

• BS/BA and 12 years of experience OR MS/MA and 10 years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading or supporting organizational operations and complex initiatives, including identifying operational needs, risks, or opportunities and developing and implementing solutions.
• Ability to obtain Radiological Worker I qualification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead operational capabilities integration across EED and support organizations.
• Influence management and staff at all levels to achieve objectives.
• Manage ES&H, Quality and F&O processes and related requirements.
• Develop and execute the EED Operations Performance/Assessment Plan and Strategic Plan.
• Mentor staff for safe, effective, and compliant operations.
