Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking an Energy Engineer for our Anchorage office. We seek a self-motivated, technically strong mechanical or electrical engineer with at least four years of engineering experience who enjoys solving complex problems and collaborating across disciplines.

The successful candidate will contribute technical expertise to multidisciplinary teams and grow toward leadership of projects across mechanical and electrical systems, energy modeling, and plant design.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited mechanical or electrical engineering degree.
• At least four years of engineering experience in mechanical, electrical, or energy disciplines.
• Experience preparing or reviewing drawings in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Familiarity with energy, piping, hydraulic, or related analysis software.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to multidisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, operators, and clients.
• Perform engineering calculations, analyses, and design for diverse energy projects.
• Model and design energy systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, and renewables.
• Prepare clear technical reports, proposals, and project execution plans.
