Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking an Energy Engineer to join our Anchorage office. We are looking for a self-motivated mechanical or electrical engineer with at least four years of experience who enjoys solving complex problems and collaborating across disciplines.

The successful candidate will contribute technical expertise to multidisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, operators, clients, and other project stakeholders, with opportunities to grow into leadership roles while expanding knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• At least four years of engineering experience in mechanical or electrical energy disciplines.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations, analyses, and design.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit drawings.
• Familiarity with energy-modeling, hydraulic-analysis, or piping-analysis software.
• Experience in multidisciplinary engineering or project teams.
• Ability to prepare clear technical reports, proposals, and execution plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in developing project management and team leadership capabilities.
• Ability to travel periodically.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to multidisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, operators, clients, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to diverse projects across power generation, energy systems, and renewable energy.
• Engage in detailed engineering for energy, electrical, mechanical, and piping systems.
• Support project scope, schedules, budgets, and client relationships when needed.
