Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Energy Engineer to lead energy efficiency projects for healthcare and education facilities in the United States. You will analyze utility data, develop M&V plans, and mentor energy staff to deliver cost-saving improvements.

The role requires deep HVAC knowledge, strong Excel and data analytics skills, and the ability to communicate complex findings to clients with clarity. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 7+ years of related field experience.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial HVAC systems.
• Experience with energy savings projects.
• Experience with life-cycle cost analyses.
• Experience analyzing utility data.
• Registered Professional Engineer.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Preferred: energy modeling software and data analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor building systems via commissioning and fault detection software.
• Identify operational faults in HVAC and building automation systems.
• Diagnose root causes using trend and historian data.
• Communicate findings and corrective actions to clients.
• Build relationships with facility and engineering staff at healthcare and education clients.
• Develop and maintain energy models and baselines.
• Develop and implement IPMVP-adherent M&V plans.
• Create, maintain, and distribute M&V dashboards and reports.
