Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Energy Engineer to join our growing energy team in Portland. The role focuses on developing energy, water, and greenhouse gas strategies for commercial real estate clients, with emphasis on data analytics, stakeholder communication, and project management.

You will lead audits, support retro-commissioning, model energy use, and prepare technical reports and client deliverables while coordinating with interdisciplinary teams across markets.

Qualifications

  • Experience developing decarbonization strategies for commercial real estate.
  • Strong data analysis and Excel modeling abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead energy saving strategy development and emissions reduction measures for existing buildings using calculations.
  • Prepare preliminary cost estimates for recommended measures.
  • Perform ASHRAE Level I & II Energy Audits in existing buildings.
  • Support retro-commissioning of existing buildings.
  • Provide client consultations on energy systems, modeling, and sustainable design.
  • Understand energy ordinances across cities/states and apply requirements.
  • Review ARCH and MEP drawings and support incentive applications.
  • Produce technical and non-technical reports for program compliance and ownership review.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on client engagements and deliverables.
  • Participate in business development to grow Cushman & Wakefield's ESG practice.
