Job summary

ICF is seeking an Energy Engineer for the Mid-Atlantic Energy Engineering team to review energy efficiency project calculations and baseline determinations for EmPOWER Maryland programs. You will assess HVAC, BAS, and lighting savings, support contractors seeking incentives, and ensure program compliance.

The role involves data analysis, guidance on best practices, and site visits up to 20% locally. Hybrid work with Columbia, MD office attendance recommended.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; 2+ years energy efficiency project experience.
• Ability to pass background check, MVR, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Review Custom, Building Tune-Up and Retro-Commissioning incentive applications including baseline determination and savings calculations.
• Prepare and conduct reviews of energy engineering savings calculations for HVAC systems and Building Automation Controls.
• Analyze utility energy consumption data using spreadsheets and data analysis tools.
• Provide guidance to service providers on energy efficiency practices and EM&V plans.
• Assess whole building efficiency strategies and make upgrade recommendations.
• Conduct pre and post implementation site visits of energy efficiency projects.
