Job summary

ICF is seeking an Energy and Sustainability Engineer in a hybrid role based in Crystal City, VA. You will develop strategies for energy efficiency and decarbonization, coordinate with government and utility stakeholders, and analyze energy data to drive informed decisions.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s in engineering or physics and 2+ years of relevant experience, with a preference for masters in mechanical or electrical engineering and familiarity with Python for data work.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing program strategies for energy efficiency, decarbonization, and emerging technologies.
• Acting as a liaison between government, utility, and industry stakeholders to advance sustainability initiatives.
• Performing in-depth energy and performance data analysis using spreadsheets, databases, and basic programming.
• Synthesizing technical data into clear reports, slides, and briefings for both expert and non-technical audiences.
