Job summary

NWCCOG Energy Program seeks an Energy Efficiency Technician I to install energy-saving measures in homes across a broad Colorado region. You will air seal, insulate, retrofit, and install safety upgrades using building science, carpentry, and HVAC tools. This entry-level role requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and strong communication in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Trade/technical school, industry certifications, or related military service preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Experience with hand and power tools is preferred but not required.
• Bilingual in Spanish valued and may qualify for bilingual pay if fluent.

Responsibilities

• Installs basic energy-saving measures and performs retrofits in homes.
• Insulates attics, crawl spaces, basements, or walls and seals air leaks.
• Performs simple, low-cost improvements to lighting, fixtures, and thermostats.
• Installs and tests carbon monoxide and smoke detectors.
• Maintains records of work, costs, and receipts; communicates with clients and team.
