Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a qualified professional to support commercial and industrial energy efficiency programs in New Jersey. The role focuses on technical application review, engineering analysis, and project pipeline management, collaborating with the Advanced Energy team, clients, and Trade Allies.

Ideal candidates will have 3–6 years in energy analysis, strong HVAC/building science knowledge, and proven project management and communication skills for client-facing work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, or related).
• 3–6 years of experience in energy analysis, technical reporting, or program administration.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, energy systems, and building science.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet-based energy calculations and custom tools.
• Experience reviewing ECMs and savings calculations for HVAC, lighting, controls, envelope, etc.
• Knowledge of energy codes/standards like ASHRAE/IECC.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review project applications and technical submittals for completeness and alignment with program requirements.
• Perform engineering reviews and validate energy-savings calculations.
• Manage project pipeline, milestones, and documentation.
• Oversee project performance for quality, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate inspections and reviews with engineering teams and Trade Allies.
• Develop and deliver training content and webinars.
• Handle multiple schedules, deliverables, and budgets while meeting deadlines.
